HISTORY

Hartman lived in New York City for the majority of his life, where he completed paintings in many subjects. He was known for his New York city scenes, still life, landscape and figurative paintings. In 1916 and 1917, he visited Arizona and painted Canyon de Chelly in a Fauvist style.
