Jennie Haddad (1906-1996) was born in Lebanon and moved to the United States in 1912. She moved to New York to study with Hans Hoffman in 1956 and maintained a friendship with him until his death in 1966. Haddad continued her arts education after his passing, studying at the Art Students League in Woodstock, NY and the Academy De Chamyere in Paris, France. The Abstract Expressionist  exhibited her works nationally during her career, receiving awards and critical acclaim along the way.
