Alfred Kingsley Lawrence RA (1893–1975) was a British painter and muralist, born in Lewes, Sussex. He studied at the King Edward VII School of Art in Newcastle upon Tyne under Richard George Hatton, before continuing his training at the Royal College of Art from 1920 to 1923 under William Rothenstein. In his final year, Lawrence was awarded the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1923, which enabled him to spend two years at the British School at Rome.
