Bernard Lorjou (1908-1986) was a French Expressionist who used art to create political and humanitarian critiques throughout his career. An internationally recognized artist, Lorjou exhibited works that addresed war, the AIDS crisis, racism and nuclear disaster. He was awarded the prestigious Prix de la Critique in 1946.
