Kim MacConnel is a luminary of the 1970's - 1980's Pattern and Decoration movement, which was in direct response to the incoming wave of the Minimalist art movement. Inspired by the primitivists style, Matisse and Picasso, found imagery and texile arts, MacConnel's ouvre spans painting, drawing, printmkaing and sculpture.
